JEWELLERY CARE
ABOUT THE LEATHER
Tania uses high quality full grain vegetable tanned leather in all her work. Vegetable tanned leather is tanned using an age old process that uses tannic acids found naturally in some plant species and uses only organic matter in the tanning process. This creates a robust firm leather perfect for jewellery.
CARE & CLEANING
Please do not get the jewellery wet. If this does happen, remove, reshape and leave to dry naturally. Do not put on top of a radiator nor use a hairdryer.
To clean your jewellery, use a soft cloth with a tiny amount of neutral shoe polish for the leather. On the coloured edges, use a slightly damp cotton wool bud and gently wipe away any dirt.
A special ‘Care Card’ is provided with each piece of jewellery purchased.
NATURAL TONE & PINK HAND DYED LEATHER
One of the characteristics of natural tone vegetable tanned leather is that its colour warms or ‘caramelises’ over time; this is a natural process. This effects natural tone and hand dyed pink leather. The colour of the piece will shift quicker if the piece is left in sunlight. To prevent this, please store your piece in its box when not worn.
(The black, dark brown and red leather used does not change colour).
