In January 2020 I had the privilege to travel for 2 weeks in Myanmar in the company of some fantastic female guides who were able to share their stories and the history of this beautiful country. One of the highlights of my stay was to visit the village of the Padaung tribe in the Kayah State.

Whilst many of the younger generation choose not to wear neckcoils, or choose to wear lighter versions, I met three grandmothers who were proud, beautiful and welcoming.
